Why We Don’t Have Pad Thai on Our Menu (and What We Serve Instead)

We get this question a lot: “Wait… you don’t have Pad Thai?”
And every time, we smile and say, “Nope — but we promise you won’t miss it.”
Pad Thai is probably the most famous Thai dish in Canada. And honestly, we understand why. It’s sweet, tangy, and easy to love. But here’s the thing: the version of Pad Thai you find here tastes quite different from the one we grew up eating in Thailand.
And that’s okay! Canadians have great taste — it’s just a different taste.
For us, when we started Imm Thai Cuisine, we wanted to share the dishes that we truly love — the ones we grew up with, the ones that remind us of home, and the ones we’re proud to cook every day.

Our Menu Is a Love Letter to Thai Food (Beyond the Usual Suspects)
Every dish on our menu is there for a reason. They’re our personal favourites — the kind of food we’d serve our family.
We wanted to highlight the variety and depth of Thai cuisine — dishes that don’t always get the spotlight, but absolutely deserve it.
Like our Coconut Cream Noodles, where silky vermicelli noodles meet a creamy coconut sauce with tofu, pork, shrimp, and bean sprouts — rich, comforting, and full of subtle flavour.
Or the Wing Bean Salad, tossed with ground pork, shrimp, toasted coconut, and peanuts in a coconut-lime dressing. It’s nutty, tangy, and deeply satisfying.
And our Mixed Seafood in Chili Oil? That’s where smoky, sweet, and spicy all meet in one wok — it’s the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite and go, “Oh wow.”
These are dishes you won’t often find on a typical Thai restaurant menu — not because they’re fancy or rare, but because they’re deeply personal.
What We Really Want to Share
For us, Thai food isn’t just about recipes — it’s about memories, culture, and a feeling of togetherness.
We wanted to bring those flavours to the table, the ones we’re proud of, that tell our story as cooks and as Thais. Pad Thai may be the superstar abroad, but in our kitchen, every dish has a story — and we’re so excited to share them with you.
So if you came in looking for Pad Thai, stay a little longer. Let us show you something new, something authentic, and maybe something that’ll become your new favourite Thai dish.
Come Taste Thailand, Our Way
Every restaurant tells its own version of Thai cuisine — and this is ours: honest, comforting, and full of heart.
We cook the food we love to eat, the food that reminds us of home. And if you let us, we’ll take you on a little culinary trip across Thailand — no Pad Thai required.
